This Privacy Policy explains how TOERO LTD ("we", "us") handles information in connection with the Toero Scientific Design Android application ("the app"), identifiable by the package name uk.co.toerotech.method.toeroscope.rack.

The app is a local scientific-space zoning and readiness mapping tool. It lets users map zones in laboratory or technical rooms, assign local states and requirements, review spatial coverage, and generate a zone-linked action pack. All work performed in the app is informational and planning-oriented, and the core workflow is designed to run locally on the device.

Scope and Local Operation

This policy describes the app's handling of information on the device where the app is installed, and the limited circumstances in which information is shared as a result of actions you choose to take.

The app is local-first. The core workflow — creating studies, editing zones, reviewing coverage, and generating action packs — takes place on your device and does not require an internet connection for its main functions. The app does not have an account system and does not use cloud synchronisation. There is no developer-side backend storage: content you create in the app is not automatically transmitted to us as part of the core workflow.

Local App Data

The app stores the information you create and manage directly on your device. This local app data may include:

Saved studies and drafts; imported plan or photo images; zone edits, including names, types, readiness states, requirement tags, and notes; and local settings and preferences such as grid visibility, snap, export format, legend mode, autosave preference, and image quality.

This information is stored locally on the device and is not automatically sent to the company. Because this local content is yours, it may contain personal information if you choose to enter or attach it, but the app does not require personal identity information for its core workflow.

You can delete individual studies, zones, or other local data within the app, and you can clear all local app data through the app's controls or through Android device settings. Uninstalling the application also removes its local data from your device.

User-Initiated External Actions

The app provides a small number of actions that open external Android services, and these occur only when you choose to use them. For example, the app may open a web browser, compose an email through your email client, or present the Android share sheet to export or share content.

When you export or share a generated action pack or other locally created content, the data you select leaves the device only because you initiated the action, and it is placed wherever you choose to save or send it. The app does not perform automatic sharing or background transfer.

Those external services, including your chosen email provider, browser, or any app you share to, operate under their own privacy practices, and we encourage you to review them.

Images that you import into the app are user-selected local content: they are stored on the device and are not automatically transmitted to the developer. The app does not access your camera or gallery in the background.

What the App Does Not Include

The application does not require login or account registration, does not process payments, does not offer subscriptions, and does not provide monetisation features. No payment details, subscription status, or account credentials are handled by the app.

Important Use Notice

The app provides informational and planning support based on your own entered observations. Outputs such as readiness states, coverage reviews, and action packs are intended as practical aids for your internal review and follow-up.

They are not certification, approval, or an authoritative decision, and they are not a substitute for formal professional, legal, regulatory, insurance, or compliance processes. Any export you create is for your practical use, not for formal approval, and you are responsible for how you use or rely on the outputs.

Retention

Local app data remains on your device until you delete it, clear local app data, or uninstall the application. Exported files remain wherever you choose to save or share them, and you retain control over those copies.

The company does not hold copies of your local studies, notes, or images on its servers, and does not set retention periods for content that never leaves the device.

Children's Privacy

The app is intended for users aged 13 and above and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we identify that a child under 13 has provided personal data, we will take reasonable steps to delete it or otherwise address the situation.

Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the revision date shown at the top of this document. We encourage you to review the policy periodically so you are aware of how information is handled.
